We are inviting applications for a Tableau Developer role with our client based in Madison, Wisconsin. The Tableau Developer will play a crucial role in enhancing our data integration and migration processes. This position offers a long-term contract employment opportunity.
Responsibilities:
- Setting up data sources in Tableau
- Working with Azure Service Fabric
- Conduct comprehensive reviews of our existing ETL processes to ensure efficient data flow within the organization.
- Analyze server performance, identify bottlenecks, and optimize ETL workflows for efficiency.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to ETL processes.
- Collaborate with the team to understand business requirements and data integration needs.
- Provide expert guidance on migrating ETL processes from Pentaho to Azure Data Factory.
- Develop a detailed transition plan, including a step-by-step roadmap for the migration process.
- Implement best practices to ensure a smooth transition with minimal disruption to ongoing operations.
- Work with Pentaho, an open-source ETL tool, to enhance data integration and transformation processes.
- Develop familiarity with Azure Data Factory for cloud-based ETL and data integration.
- Gain basic knowledge of AWS servers, understanding their presence without requiring administration capabilities.
• Possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in a Database Development & Analyst role.
• Proficient in using Tableau for data integration and business analytics.
• Demonstrable experience with ETL (Extract Transform Load) processes and related tools.
• Familiarity with Azure Data Factory for orchestrating and automating data transformations.
• Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) for cloud-based data storage and analysis.
• Ability to interpret and analyze complex data, and translate findings into actionable strategies.
• Strong communication skills to effectively present data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
• Proven problem-solving skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Advanced knowledge of data visualization tools and software.
• Familiarity with data privacy regulations and best practices.
