Essential Functions :
We are seeking a creative initiative-taking and experienced Food Equipment Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing new equipment applications specifically for the food industry. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including meat technology, engineering, equipment-supplier R&D, manufacturing, and field service, to deliver innovative, efficient, and safe food processing solutions.
Job Duties may include but are not limited to :
Lead the design, development, prototyping, and testing of new food processing equipment working closely with the meat technology group.
Work closely with the Meat Technology Team, engineering, and field service teams to understand technical requirements and ensure feasibility of designs.
Oversee the testing of new prototypes and equipment in real-world food production environments.
Drive continuous improvement of new equipment designs to enhance productivity, reliability, and operational efficiency.
Ensure all equipment designs comply with local and international food safety, sanitation, and regulatory standards (e.g., FDA, NSF, USDA, etc.).
Lead and manage engineering projects, from concept through to commercialization, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget.
Collaborate with external customers to understand their needs and requirements as related to the development of new equipment.

Bachelor’s in either Mechanical Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, Food Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in designing or developing equipment for the food industry or similar sectors.
Strong knowledge of food processing technologies, materials, and food safety standards.
Creative and Detail-oriented with a passion for innovation and continuous improvement.
