What You’ll Do:
- Strategic IT Leadership
- Develop and execute a comprehensive technology strategy aligned with the credit union’s mission, vision, and long-term business objectives.
- Identify and implement emerging technologies that enhance operational efficiency, improve member experience, and create competitive advantages.
- Serve as a key advisor to executive leadership, providing insights on technological trends, digital transformation, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Technology Infrastructure & Operations
- Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of a secure and scalable IT infrastructure, ensuring seamless operations and business continuity.
- Ensure the stability and optimization of core banking systems, payment platforms, cloud environments, and network infrastructure.
- Lead initiatives to enhance system performance, uptime, responsiveness, and scalability through continuous improvement and modern solutions.
- Develop and implement cloud-based and on-premises solutions that support operational growth and efficiency.
- Drive cloud migration strategies, balancing on-premises and cloud-based solutions to support organizational growth.
- Cybersecurity
- Establish and maintain a comprehensive cybersecurity framework to safeguard member data and critical IT assets.
- Lead the IT Security Program, ensuring compliance with industry security standards and conducting regular security testing.
- Develop disaster recovery and business continuity plans to minimize operational disruptions.
- Ensure regulatory compliance with NCUA, FFIEC, DBF, and other applicable standards.
- IT Governance & Compliance
- Develop and enforce IT procedures, controls, and governance frameworks to ensure adherence to financial industry regulations and internal compliance standards.
- Serve as the primary contact for IT audits and examinations, working closely with Risk Management and Internal Audit.
- Ensure IT systems and processes align with data privacy laws and cybersecurity best practices to mitigate risks and enhance trust.

- Team Leadership & Development
- Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing IT team, promoting a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.

- Foster cross-functional collaboration and represent the organization in external community and industry engagements.
- Vendor & Stakeholder Management
- Manage relationships with technology vendors, financial service providers, and strategic partners to ensure high-quality service and cost-effectiveness.
- Evaluate, negotiate, and oversee vendor contracts, ensuring alignment with business needs and compliance with industry standards.
- Stay informed on emerging technologies and third-party solutions to assess potential benefits and risks for the credit union.
- Act as the primary point of contact for IT-related discussions with regulators, auditors, and external partners.
- Project & Budget Management
- Develop and manage the IT budget, ensuring strategic investments that drive value and efficiency.
- Lead IT project planning and execution, ensuring timely, cost-effective implementation aligned with business priorities.
- Utilize project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, ITIL) to improve project delivery, accountability, and outcomes.
