Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Forman to oversee construction projects and ensure that work is completed efficiently and to the highest standards. This role requires proficiency in various construction management software and tools, as well as a solid foundation in blueprint reading and estimating.
Duties
- Supervise daily operations on the construction site, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and project specifications.
- Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
- Utilize software such as Primavera, ProCore, Bluebeam, and HeavyBid for project management and documentation.
- Conduct regular inspections of work performed to ensure quality standards are met.
- Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources effectively while maintaining clear communication with all stakeholders.
- Assist in construction estimating and contract management to support project planning.
- Train and mentor team members on best practices in construction techniques and safety protocols.
- Use tools such as an Ohmmeter for electrical work when necessary, ensuring all equipment is functioning correctly.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a supervisory role within the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of construction estimating processes and contract management.
- Proficiency in blueprint reading and understanding technical drawings.
- Familiarity with construction management software including Primavera, ProCore, Bluebeam, and HeavyBid is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage teams effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards.
