As an Engineering Manager of Data Platform, you will be a trailblazer, building and leading a high-performing engineering team of 6. Your team will initially focus on building a self-served, exa-byte scale Data Platform for batch data processing, and will eventually expand to include real-time data processing. You will set a high technical bar, champion Roblox's leadership principles, and drive the delivery of innovative products that delight our users.

- Set the Bar : Establish and maintain a high standard for technical excellence. Ensure your team delivers reliable, scalable, and secure solutions that adhere to Roblox's engineering principles.
- Collaborative Approach : Work closely with product managers, data engineers, data scientists, and other team members to comprehend business requirements and convert them into technical solutions.
- Drive Engineering Strategy : Be part of the team that drives the engineering strategy for Roblox. Find opportunities for innovation and growth, and prioritize projects that deliver the most value to our users.
- Continuous Improvement : Foster a culture of learning and continuous improvement within your team. Encourage trying new approaches, learning from each other, and embracing pioneering technologies.

For roles that are based at our headquarters in San Mateo, CA : The starting base pay for this position is as shown below. The actual base pay is dependent upon a variety of job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs, and market demand. Therefore, in some circumstances, the actual salary could fall outside of this expected range. This pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. All full-time employees are also eligible for equity compensation and for benefits.
Annual Salary Range : $283,780 — $331,640 USD
Roles that are based in our San Mateo, CA Headquarters are in-office Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with optional in-office on Monday and Friday (unless otherwise noted).
