Roblox is looking for an experienced Senior Manager, Accounting to help build and scale the accounting function to support the business' increased growth. Reporting to the Assistant Controller, this role requires strong technical accounting expertise, leadership skills, and the ability to work cross-functionally to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial statements. To succeed in the role, the ideal candidate should be comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment and work well with a cross-functional and diverse team with a positive outlook.
You will :
- Lead the execution of the month-end close process for the GL Team (e.g. Leases, Fixed Assets, Accruals, Cash & Investments, Prepaids, etc.), including handling account reconciliations, month-end close tasks and fluctuation analyses.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of accounting professionals, providing guidance on accounting issues; cultivate a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging process automation and the use of systems to drive efficiency.
- Perform technical accounting research as needed and prepare / review technical memorandums that document issues and conclusions in a clear, logical and comprehensive manner.
- Lead or participate in various special projects, such as system upgrades, process improvements, and new business initiatives.
- Partner with other departments, including FP&A, Treasury, Tax, and Legal, to support business initiatives, and ensure alignment with financial reporting goals.
- Work closely with external auditors to handle quarterly reviews and the annual audit process.
- Ensure adherence to SOX controls, including documentation.

The actual base pay is dependent upon a variety of job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs and market demand. Therefore, in some circumstances, the actual salary could fall outside of this expected range. This pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. All full-time employees are also eligible for equity compensation and for benefits.
Annual Salary Range
191,440 — $233,430 USD
Roles that are based in our San Mateo, CA Headquarters are in-office Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with optional in-office on Monday and Friday (unless otherwise noted).
