The Role
- Lead and manage the History department, driving high standards in teaching and learning.
- Develop and implement a broad and engaging History curriculum for KS3 and KS4.
- Support and mentor teachers within the department to enhance pedagogy and student outcomes.
- Analyse student performance and implement strategies to maximise progress and achievement.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across the EBACC faculty to develop cross-curricular links.
- Inspire a love for History and promote enrichment opportunities, including trips and extracurricular activities.
- Have a passion for History and a proven track record of excellent teaching.
- Demonstrate strong leadership and management skills.
- Have the ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities.
- Be committed to continuous professional development and innovation in History education.
- Work collaboratively as part of a dynamic and supportive team.
