Yard Assistant

Position Summary: Inspect and maintain all yard equipment as well as ensure jobsites have necessary equipment as needed.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Deliver necessary equipment to jobsite as needed

• Plan the most effectively route to ensure timely deliveries

• Ensure safety of all loads being delivered

• Clean and organize yard and shop area

• Maintain equipment and tools in the yard and shop areas

• Responsible for truck and trailer inspections

• Responsible for snow removal and landscape maintenance of corporate office and other company owned properties

Qualifications:

• Ability to lift 14 to 60 pounds frequently and carry up to 50 pounds occasionally

• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions

• Ability to drive a truck and pull a trailer; have knowledge of state and federal DOT regulations

• Ability to safely operate a forklift

• Ability to pull gooseneck/bumper trailers

• Ability to communicate effectively

• Basic computer skills

• Basic mechanical abilities

• Basic mathematical skills

• Basic knowledge of hand tools

• Must have a valid driver’s license

Education Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
