Department Summary
Finance Diagnostics Operations Purpose
Diagnostics Finance Global Operations, Quality & Regulatory, Intercompany Supply Chain (ICSC) and Cross-Functional (FDO) is a finance organization with a global footprint all over the world and is part of the global Diagnostics finance organization. Since 2021 several different finance teams have been brought into the one FDO organization. The Transformation of Dia Finance for Global Operations, Q&R, ICSC and Cross-Functional has at its core the desire to create a lean Finance organization that embraces flexible ways of working and interfaces seamlessly with other parts of the Finance and Business units across Diagnostics while bringing strong value to our key stakeholders.

Our employees produce reagents and instruments that help diagnose disease and impact the lives of people all over the world. With our global manufacturing network and our supply chain hubs, our more than 6’500 employees ensure the timely delivery of world-leading, high-quality products for all Diagnostics Business Areas, fulfilling the Roche purpose of doing now what patients need next. Being a part of Global Operations, the DOG Cluster comprises sites in Branchburg, New Jersey and Carlsbad, California to manufacture, label, fill, pack, label, and store diagnostic products.

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of New Jersey is $45 an hour. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. This position also qualifies for paid holiday time off benefits.

The Opportunity
- Assist in financial analysis and forecasting in expense, headcount, inventory and capital expenditure to support strategic decision-making processes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather financial data and provide insights for budgeting and planning purposes
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports, presentations, and documentation
- Contribute to the optimization of financial processes and systems
- Collaborate with senior finance professionals to learn and apply financial principles and best practices
- Intensive 12-weeks, full-time (40 hours per week) paid internship
- Program start dates are in May/June (Summer)
- A stipend, based on location, will be provided to help alleviate costs associated with the internship.
- Ownership of challenging and impactful projects
- Work with some of the most talented people in the biotechnology industry
Required Education:
- Must be pursuing a Bachelor's Degree (enrolled student)
Required Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial software applications
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
