As a Lab IT Operations Specialist, you will work closely with our Scientists to understand their business needs and provide IT support on innovative technologies applicable to the lab environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and support laboratory IT systems, including PCs, peripherals, network connections, and devices, to ensure stability and business continuity. Support computer system imaging and monitoring tools (e.g., SCCM, Kace)
- Act as a single point of contact to capture requirements, provide feedback to product teams, and ensure continuous improvement of software and hardware solutions
- Provide proactive IT support, adapting standard solutions to meet business needs, and support data handling solutions (e.g., data archiving) in compliance with Roche standards for data security and regulatory compliance
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, business partners, S&R Informatics, and the global Regional Lab Support team to facilitate collaborative IT service delivery
- Fulfill service ownership responsibilities, contribute to service documentation, and report incidents using ServiceNow, adhering to ITSM best practices
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal policies
- Bachelor in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- A minimum of 2-3 years of experience providing IT support in a lab environment
- Proven experience in laboratory IT systems maintenance and support, with a strong track record in stakeholder management
- Experience working in a ticketing system is required; familiarity with ServiceNow is a plus
- Relevant industry certifications (e.g., ITILv3, CompTIA Network , SAFe Agile) are a plus
- Experience with regulatory compliance in a laboratory environment and knowledge of data privacy and security best practices
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with stakeholders, business representatives, and scientific users, acting as an interface between S&R Informatics and the business to represent business needs and the voice of the customer
