Elementary Summer Learning Program Teacher (2265)

Professional, temporary teaching staff needed to teach in the 2025 Elementary Summer Learning Program . Applications for these temporary positions will be accepted until March 7, 2025 .

Teachers will be expected to implement innovative instructional techniques that improve student achievement. Emphasis will be given to higher-level thinking skills, connecting learning to prior knowledge, cooperative learning, active participation of the learner, and technology integration. The actual number of positions is dependent upon enrollment.

Classrooms will feature teachers who co-plan and co-teach. If one co-teacher is absent, the other will take on all standard professional responsibilities without extra pay. Substitute teachers will not be provided during this summer's program. Progress reports must be submitted to parents on the program's final day.

QUALIFICATIONS :

• Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate.
• Desire to work with at-risk students.
• Desire to work with students who need to be academically challenged.
• Must be available to work the entire length of the program.

SALARY : Stipend $3250 contingent on all designated working days, and it will be adjusted accordingly if all working days are unmet. $50 / hr x 65 hours.

Selection of an individual to fill these temporary positions will be determined by the Summer Learning Program administrators based upon applicant experience, qualifications and professional attributes.
