General Summary

The Manufacturing Inventory & Procurement Coordinator oversees routine inventory transactions in the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) System for the Materials and Logistics department in support of manufacturing goals. Coordinates the procurement of goods and services for U.S. operations. This role is responsible for all ERP transactions for piece parts and consumables, and to maintain accurate inventory and traceability. Key to this role is submitting orders to replenish inventory based on ERP suggestions to purchase.

Responsibilities

Ensures that all financial internal controls for the procurement function are followed.

Approves purchase orders for piece part and consumable products within the ERP system up to a designated dollar approval limit.

Respond to departmental procurement inquiries; collaborate with the Manufacturing Procurement Specialist on specific needs.

Communicates directly with vendors via in person meetings, phone calls and electronic mail.

Communicates with requestors regarding order status.

With direction support production capacity goals in purchasing material and equipment.

Provide support on a routine range of products and services to both internal and external customers.

Resolve and / or escalate issues to appropriate levels of management in a timely fashion.

Perform cycle counts to maintain accurate inventory levels both physically and in ERP system.

Maintain minimum on hand amounts for all piece parts and consumables. Adapt as necessary using previous usage rates and forecasted quantities needed.

Qualifications

High school diploma required; Associates’ degree preferred with exposure to business administration, procurement, or related field helpful; or other equivalent combination of education and experience.

Minimum of 1 years of direct procurement experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

Must have experience with Material Requirements Planning and ERP systems with specific exposure to Epicore and Camstar helpful.

Demonstrated understanding of purchase order review processes.

Effective written and oral communications skills with both internal and external partners.

Intermediate skill with spreadsheet and word processing software, including pivot tables and basic principles around statistics.

Demonstrated initiative and ownership with effective ability to diagnose and resolve problems.

Effective organizational skills.

Consistently demonstrate attention to detail.
