The Rochester Fencing Club is committed to bringing the Olympic sport of fencing to our community. Owned by Olympian Felicia Zimmermann, we provide world-class fencing instruction through individual and group lessons for all levels. Description: Our Front Desk associates are the first point of contact for our members and prospective members. They are responsible for assisting our members, providing information to prospective members, and handling routine clerical and administrative tasks and some light operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Answer phone calls/return voice message
- Answer emails
- Process and sort mail
- Manage daily attendance
- Check member accounts and process and record payments
- Fencing equipment orders and receiving/sorting equipment deliveries (weight is usually less than 20 lbs)
- Regular light cleaning/disinfecting of our facility
- Daily front desk notes to track tasks
- Understand and uphold our Club's programs/policies
Hours: Weekdays 4 PM to 8 PM; Sat: 8:30 AM - 12 PM (Hours may vary based on class schedule)
Requirements:
- Excellent communication skills
- Highly proficient in computer skills
- Excellent writing skills
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to take direction
- Strong customer service skills
- Positive attitude
This position is great for someone who is looking to work a few evenings a week and has Saturday availability. We are looking for someone to start training as soon as possible. The training period will be paid and will take about 8 hours over a period of 4-5 days (including one Saturday). The trial period is for 45 days.
