Job Responsibilities:
What You'll Do:
- Event Planning & Execution: Assist in planning and executing exciting marketing events and initiatives. From group planning to coordinating on-campus groups and conferences, you'll be the go-to person for all things event-related.
- Onsite Event Support: Provide onsite assistance during events. Whether it's setting up, tearing down, or solving technical issues, you'll ensure everything runs smoothly.
- Engage with the RIT Community: Attend Student Government meetings, staff events, and trainings to represent Dining. Share information about dining options, meal plans, and special events both online and in person.
- Training & Collaboration: Create and execute trainings for staff, coordinate meal plan training, and work collaboratively with the RIT Dining Registered Dietitian for joint events.
- Marketing & Promotions: Assist with marketing requests, select and distribute promotional items, and help produce event materials.
- RIT Service Center (RSC) Management: Field questions, manage ticket escalations, and maintain the service catalog.
- Care Package Administration: Be the primary contact for training and implementation of the Tiger Bucks Transaction Portal.
- Inventory Management: Oversee the inventory of all dining cards and assist with POS system training.
- Student Employee Management: Interview, onboard, and manage student employees.
- Customer Service: Greet visitors, provide directions, and respond to inquiries. Facilitate feedback and manage office supplies and mail.
- Dining Ambassador: Be the first point of contact for meal plan issues and new employee onboarding.
- Community Engagement: You'll have the chance to interact with students, faculty, and staff, making a real impact on their dining experiences.
- Professional Growth: Gain valuable experience in event planning, customer service, and office management.
Required Qualifications:
Education/Experience:
- Associate's degree or equivalent experience
- 1 year customer service, event planning, marketing or communications experience
- Able to work as a team member taking direction from multiple supervisors and co-workers as well as able to work independently
- Ability to adapt to using new technology and systems for business operations
- Outstanding customer service skills
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
- Must be able to participate in activities that may involve sitting or standing for long periods, long periods of walking, and lifting supplies up to 25 lbs.
