Job Summary
RIT University Advancement is embarking on an ambitious multi-year project to implement a Salesforce-based CRM. The Salesforce Administrator will lead the ongoing development of the university's Salesforce ecosystem, liaising with stakeholders to gather requirements, managing the product roadmap, and designing scalable best practice solutions with user satisfaction as a priority. You will configure, maintain and support the Salesforce suite of products, including add-ons from AppExchange and integrations with other non-Salesforce products.
The Salesforce Administrator will join a dynamic project team to design, configure, and deploy a new Salesforce environment from the ground up. This resource will work closely with functional leaders, organizational units, and subject matter experts to identify, develop and deploy new business processes including: Fundraising, Marketing, Outreach and our core program business processes. This position will be the primary contact for the Salesforce technical stack including Salesforce Sales and Service Cloud, Salesforce Maps, CRM Analytics Plus, Marketing Cloud, Shield and supplemental software from AppExchange such as Kindsight ascend, Formstack, Blackthorn, Smarty and other software as identified during the project.
This position is eligible for on campus, hybrid and/or remote work. You must reside and work in one of the following states to work remotely: Alabama, California, Connecticut, Delaware, District of Columbia, Florida, Georgia, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Texas, Vermont, and Virginia.

Job Responsibilities
- Design, build, configure, automate, test, and deploy Salesforce, including (but not limited to): Flow, assignment rules, approval processes, fields, page layouts, record types, dynamic layouts, apps, actions, custom settings, mobile administration, dashboards and reports.
- Assist University Advancement Reporting and Analytics team in building and maintaining reports and dashboards that are easy to read and align with the division and university goals that allow the users to make critical decisions.
- Document workflows, rules, triggers, roadmaps, and architectures that are created for knowledge sharing and to ensure ongoing supportability.
- Integrate, configure, test, deploy, and maintain applications from Salesforce AppExchange, Azure, and non-Salesforce applications as required within the Salesforce-based CRM.
- Perform all aspects of user, security, and license management including new user setup/deactivation, roles, profiles, permissions, public groups, Organization-wide Sharing Defaults and sharing rules.
- Working with University Advancement Data team and centralized RIT Data resources, ensure that data within Salesforce is maintained as a trusted resource aligned with industry standards. Perform data refreshes to non-Production Salesforce environments on a regular basis.
- Continually build on the Salesforce platform, delivering new features, deploying Saleforce and AppExchange releases and proactively looking for ways to expand Salesforce functionality across the organization.
- 1-5 years of Salesforce Administrator experience
- 3-7 years of IT experience
- Salesforce Administrator Certification
- Ability to work within a larger team, including internal and external partners, towards common project goals
- Exhibit a Technical Operational mindset utilizing proactive system maintenance, user support, training, automation, and solution design to enhance end user experience
- Demonstrated strategic focus with proven ability to analyze, design, and optimize business and technical processes utilizing the Salesforce platform
- Possess innovative and analytical problem-solving skills to anticipate and resolve technical issues
- Deep understanding of the Salesforce platform, with the ability to build custom apps and objects, formula fields, flows, approval processes, custom views, and other content
- Strong written, verbal, and team-building communication skills to collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to solve business problems
- Experience integrating Salesforce with Azure Data Factory
- Knowledge of other Azure ETL/ELT and data transformation tools
- Experience in Oracle databases including SQL, PL/SQL
- Experience developing python scripts for data ETL
