Job Description
Rochester Midland Corporation is seeking a Batch Maker for their location in Aurora, Illinois. The Batch Maker sets up, operates, and tends to machines to mix or blend chemicals. Reads instructions and prepares products according to established Batch Ticket instructions. Responsible for producing batches safely while maintaining all production and quality standards.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Acquires “Batch Ticket” for each manufacturing job per Supervisors instructions. Works with Production Fork Lift Operator to coordinate delivery of raw materials for each manufacturing job to the chemical mezzanine for the batch making process.
- Calibrates meters as needed for delivery of raw material to manufacturing kettles.
- Feeds raw materials into the manufacturing kettles using air pumps or other means in accordance with each batch ticket.
- Tests finished product as needed based on the test sheet. Makes adjustments when necessary.
- Maintains production and time records, as required on batch ticket.
- Maintains high quality standards, as required, through regular quality assurance checks.
- Adheres to all safety, OSHA, and PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) requirements including proper respirator fit testing and usage
- Produces products in accordance with process sheets.
- Maintains work area in accordance with established housekeeping procedures and requirements to ensure a safe and clean work environment.
- Performs such similar, comparable and related duties as required.
EDUCATION/ SPECIAL LICENSES OR CERTIFICATION:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
EXPERIENCE:
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment desired.

- Forklift experience preferred

- Required use of personal protective equipment which includes a cleanly shaved face for the respirator program.
