What are the responsibilities and job description for the Community Education Program Coordinator position at Rochester Public Schools?
- Do college and training student intakes: evaluate tests, give student schedules, provide career pathway information, develop a personal education plan/timeline with students, make appropriate referrals to other agencies
- Explore and help design Career Pathways for grant implementation
- Discuss and help solve staff and student problems.
- Deal with a variety of unpredictable situations for the college & career department and also for the entire building in the absence of the Program Manager
- Develop policies, procedures and guidelines for the College & Career department
- Organize and facilitate meetings between college/training team members.
- Work with other Southeast Minnesota ABE programs
- Do orientations
- Communicate regularly with students and staff
- Collaborate and meet with community partners
- Responsible for post-testing college and training students
- Follow up meetings with students to discuss educational plan/timeline
- Provide technology support to students
- Responsible for improving and adjusting as needed the college and training program
- Develop with program manager class schedules for the year
- Monitor and maintain student database including student progress, test scores and achievements.
- Prepare reports and maintain spreadsheets
- Backup the front desk staff when needed
- Work with Panda to accommodate students with disabilities needs
- Monitor attendance
- Give presentations
- Perform other duties as assigned by program manager
- College degree or completed some college courses or at least 2 years working in Adult Education
- Experience working with historically underrepresented groups.

WORK SCHEDULE: Full-time - 7 hours per day (35 hours per week): 260 days per year.

SALARY: $57,712 (entry level) - $67,484 (prorated based on hire date)
