    WORK SCHEDULE: 7 hours per day; 8:45 a.m. - 4:15 p.m. (30 minute unpaid luch) Temporary through June 4, 2025

    WORK CALENDAR: 180 duty days per year.

    SALARY: $20.00 - $20.70 per hour

    BENEFITS: Benefits available for regular positions working an average of 30 hours per week.

    Job Summary:
    • Working with students under the supervision of the classroom teacher.
    • Monitoring and/or supervising students in the lunchroom and on the playground in all types of weather.
    • Performs tasks within the level of responsibility of position as assigned by the supervisor.

    Qualifications:
    • Minimum requirement; 60 college semester credits and/or a two-year degree from an accredited college or university. Please include official transcript(s) with application.
    • In lieu of college credits or degree, one can complete the Paraeducator Assessments. The passing scores in Minnesota are 65% and 70% .

    • The test is available to applicants who are presented an official job offer from the Rochester Public School District.
    • High School diploma or GED required.
    • Experience working with elementary age students.
    • Computer skills preferred.
    • Flexibility and the ability to work as a cooperative team member.
    • Positive rapport with children including the ability to correct inappropriate student behavior with fairness and consistency.
    • Regular, on-time attendance is required.
