SUMMARY:
The Director of Precision Medicine will spearhead the implementation and oversight of the health system’s precision medicine initiatives, including the rollout and integration of Helix—a leading platform for genomics and population health. This role will ensure the development and execution of a comprehensive precision medicine strategy that aligns with the organization's goals to improve patient outcomes, enhance personalized care delivery, and drive innovation in healthcare.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Strategic Leadership:
Develop and execute a multi-year precision medicine strategy, incorporating genomic data and population health insights.
Lead cross-functional teams in implementing the Helix platform, ensuring alignment with clinical, operational, and strategic goals.
Program Development:
Collaborate with clinicians, researchers, and IT teams to design programs integrating Helix's capabilities into clinical workflows.
Establish metrics for evaluating the success of precision medicine initiatives, focusing on patient outcomes, provider adoption, and cost-effectiveness.
Operational Management:
Oversee the operational rollout of Helix, including data integration, provider training, and patient education.
Ensure compliance with all regulatory and ethical guidelines for genomic data collection, storage, and use.
Manage equipment replacement, service, and repair.
Collaborates with clinical and administrative leadership to promote continuous quality improvement in operations.
Focuses in on creating results for optimal patient care services and patient experience.
Stakeholder Engagement:
Serve as the primary liaison between the health system and Helix, ensuring seamless communication and troubleshooting.
Work closely with executive leadership to secure resources, align on priorities, and report progress.
Data and Analytics:
Drive the adoption of genomic data analytics to inform clinical decision-making and population health strategies.
Support research initiatives leveraging genomic data to identify new opportunities for precision therapies and interventions.
Education and Training:
Develop and deliver training programs for clinical staff to effectively utilize Helix tools and integrate genomic insights into care plans.
Advocate for precision medicine across the organization, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.
Talent Management:
Effectively recruits and retains talent for continuous support of the aligned business areas.
Fosters a team-based environment that collaborates across multiple disciplines to focus on continuous improvement and engagement.
Monitors and recognizes performance of team members and supports people in professional development.
Engages with team members to answer day to day operational questions and guidance.
Finance and Regulatory:
Collaborates with leadership to achieve or exceed expected financial performance.
Partners with financial subject matter experts in budget formulation and variance analysis.
Monitors operations to ensure compliance with budget expectations and financial improvement initiatives.
Collaborates with subject matter experts and leadership to ensure compliance with quality and all regulatory and reporting requirements.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Required Degree: Bachelor’s degree
Required Certification/Licensure: Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative (CITI) Program training required within 3 months of hire
Required Years of Experience: 3 years of experience in precision medicine, genomics, or a related field within a healthcare setting. 1 years of management experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Master’s, PhD, PharmD, or other advanced degree in genomics, molecular biology, or a related field preferred.
Certified Genetic Counselor (CGC) preferred.
Master’s degree in healthcare administration, public health, or business administration
Proven experience leading large-scale technology rollouts, particularly involving genomic platforms
Deep understanding of genomics, personalized medicine, and population health strategies
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: S - Sedentary Work - Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.
PAY RANGE: $90,000.00 - $140,000.00
