JOB TITLE: IT Customer Service & Support Specialist


REPORTS TO: IT Manager

POSITION PURPOSE:


An IT Customer Service & Support Specialist in a school system plays a critical role in ensuring the technology infrastructure supports both the educational and administrative needs of the institution. They ensure the technology within the school system is accessible, efficient, secure, and used effectively by all stakeholders to enhance learning and administrative operations.


SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Creates and manages all staff and student Google accounts; i.e. all onboarding and offboarding procedures and manages Google licenses.

  • Assists with Google Admin Console management; including managing district accounts and Chromebooks.

  • Receives orders, updates tracking/inventory, submits purchase orders for payment.

  • Maintains a database of complete and accurate inventory records, including, but not limited to: Chromebooks, phones, interactive boards and accessories.

  • Enters orders into the Munis purchasing system.

  • Work with techs to determine Chromebook parts needed for repairs.

  • Keep accurate inventory of damaged devices and repair progress for devices.

  • Submit for device warranty/replacement as needed.

  • Submit phone change tickets with the vendor.

  • Keep updated device loaner inventory.

  • Assists with help desk tasks, which may include updating and transferring tickets and managing asset inventory.

  • Scan informational documents and tutorials into Google Drive for updating Intranet.

  • Manage all aspects of computer warranty repair/replacement.

  • Enters phone extension/name/location change tickets with vendor.

  • Coordinates with E-911 yearly to ensure phone location records are accurate.

  • Travel throughout the district may be necessary - a valid driver's license with a dependable vehicle is required (mileage will be reimbursed).

  • Performs other such duties as may reasonably be assigned by the department manager.


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:


The ideal candidate will have:


  • At least one year of successful experience in an educational setting or related field as an administrative assistant.

  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently and be a self-initiator.

  • Ability to be flexible in a fast-paced environment, adaptable when managing multiple and shifting priorities, determining priorities independently managing multiple competing demands.

  • Ability to maintain discretion regarding confidential matters.

  • Strong belief in the district’s mission, approach, and core values.

  • Reflective, life-long learner.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with school leaders, educators and students.

  • Exceptional organizational skills, ability to work under pressure, attention to detail, and manage projects with a high degree of accuracy and limited direction.


Pay: 27.5 hours, school year; Paraeducator contract.
