Accounts Payable/Receivable Specialist

We are looking to add an Accounts Payable/Receivable Specialist to the team at our Corporate Office located in Bloomfield, MI.

Duties & Responsibilities:

· Facilitates payment of vendors according to A/P process, which may include reviewing purchase orders and resolving discrepancies

· Ensures employer identification numbers or social security numbers have been collected from all vendors to prepare and submit 1099’s

· Provide reports for 1099 reporting

· Print and mail 1099’s/1096’s

· Contact vendors regarding issues of credits due

· Record entry of, verify documentation for, and distribute petty cash

· Assists with accounting records and ledgers by reconciling monthly statements and transactions

· Ensures proper maintenance, filing, and storage of records

· Process all signed checks for distribution, and verify payments prior to obtaining payment authorization

· Responsible for A/R functions including inter-company billings, tracking, reporting, and follow up

· Enters cash receipts and other transactions into accounting system daily

· Responsible for the monthly billing of company credit cards and phone bills

· Ensures closing processes are completed timely with accuracy

· Answers phones, distributes mail, and other general office administration as needed

Qualifications:

· 3 years of accounts payable/accounts receivable experience

· High school diploma required; business or accounting degree preferred

· Strong analytical skills, detail oriented, and organized

· Adaptable and reliable, with ability to meet time-sensitive deadlines

· Proficient in MS Office applications including MS Excel/Outlook

· Highly motivated and self-directed, with a positive attitude

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to $50,000.00 per year
