Summary Job Description
This position is required to set up, operate and feed Tenon Machine and machine furniture parts.
Essential Duties
- Must be able to identify wood species such as maple, ash, mahogany and walnut
- Required to setup, feed and operate the Tenon machine
- Trims, notches, rabs, groves or otherwise cuts furniture parts on the Tenon machine
- Makes basic visual inspection of parts and discards those with obvious defects
- Checks first piece run and spot checks whenever operating machine to validate specifications
- Counts parts and records quantities on work sheet
- Sets up and makes adjustments required during run
- Pushes finished product to next operation
- Required to use a tape measure to verify measurements on the wood
- Must follow all safety policies and procedures
- All other duties assigned
Qualifications
Position Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Experience running a Tenon machine in the manufacture of wood products

- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. frequently; rarely up to 75 lbs.
