What are the responsibilities and job description for the Snow Plow Driver position at Rock N Block LLC?
We are looking to fill the following positions:
Skid steer operator : must have previous experience doing snow removal in a skid steer with pusher/Kage. Higher pay if you are able to load and trailer machine as well.
Plow truck operator: This position would be in a pick up truck doing a combination of commercial/residential properties. Previous experience required.
We have several zero tolerance properties which means we are getting the most hours possible.
Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Snow Plow Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring safe and efficient snow removal from various surfaces, including roads, parking lots, and walkways. This role requires mechanical knowledge and the ability to operate snow plowing equipment effectively. The Snow Plow Operator will also assist with landscape maintenance and groundskeeping tasks as needed.
Responsibilities
- Operate snow plow equipment to clear snow and ice from designated areas.
- Perform routine maintenance on snow removal equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Utilize hand tools for minor repairs and adjustments on the equipment.
- Assist in landscape maintenance tasks, including tree care, garden digging, and hardscape installation.
- Follow safety protocols to ensure the safety of yourself and others while operating machinery.
- Collaborate with team members to prioritize snow removal tasks based on weather conditions.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and report any issues with equipment or operations.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in operating heavy machinery, specifically snow plows or similar equipment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot basic equipment issues.
- Familiarity with landscape maintenance practices, including groundskeeping and hardscape installation.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and during early morning or late-night hours as needed.
- Proficiency in using hand tools for maintenance tasks.
- A valid driver's license is required; a commercial driver's license (CDL) is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety practices.
