Sushi Chef

Overview
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Sushi Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sushi preparation techniques, and knife handling. The Sushi Chef will work in a fast-paced environment, ensuring that each dish is prepared with precision and attention to detail while maintaining the highest levels of food safety and hygiene.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and present sushi dishes according to the restaurant's recipes and standards.
• Ensure all food safety and sanitation guidelines are followed during food preparation and handling.
• Maintain an organized and clean workspace, including proper storage of ingredients.
• Monitor inventory levels of sushi ingredients and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
• Train and mentor junior kitchen staff in sushi preparation techniques.
• Provide excellent customer service by accommodating special dietary requests and preferences.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Sushi Chef or in a similar role within a fine dining or high-volume kitchen environment.
• Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
• A passion for Japanese cuisine and dedication to continuous learning in culinary arts.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
