Position Overview
Probationary Period: All persons that are newly hired, rehired, transferred, promoted, or demoted into a Rockbridge Area Community Services position must serve a new 6-month probationary period.

Position Overview
- As a member of the transdisciplinary team in the RAISE Early Intervention Program, this PRN position supports families with infants and toddlers who have developmental delays, disabilities, or are at high risk for delay. The role focuses on providing Developmental Services to address the child's functional developmental needs, including cognitive processes, communication, motor skills, behavior, and social interaction.
- This position works closely with families, service coordinators, and other early intervention providers as outlined in the child's Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) to ensure services align with the family's concerns, priorities, and available resources.
- The role reports to the Early Intervention Manager and requires the ability to work independently while demonstrating initiative, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. Maintaining client confidentiality in compliance with RACS policies, FERPA, and HIPAA is essential.
- A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in child development, special education, early childhood education, or a related field.
- Licensure in Early Childhood Education or Special Education, or an equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities to meet the highest employment standards set by the Infant and Toddler Connection of Virginia.
- Experience working with infants and toddlers, particularly those with disabilities, is highly desirable.
- Must meet and maintain the qualifications of an Early Intervention Professional as outlined in the Infant and Toddler Connection of Virginia's Practice Manual for Part C services.
- A minimum of one year of experience in a field related to early intervention is preferred.
- A valid Virginia driver's license is required.
- Staff members are responsible for submitting proof of license renewal to the Human Resources office.
