Position
The Legal Assistant will report to the Head of Litigation and will work closely with Rockefeller Capital Management’s Legal and Compliance Department to provide support to attorneys and compliance personnel on litigation matters, corporate legal matters, as well as internal investigations and regulatory inquiries. The Legal Assistant will also assist with the administration and operations of the Legal and Compliance Department.
Responsibilities
The anticipated base salary range for this role is $70,000 to $80,000. Base salary for the role will depend on several factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience, and may fall outside of the range shown. In addition, this role may be eligible for a discretionary bonus. Responsibilities
- Assisting with fact-gathering and document collection;
- Managing discovery, including retrieving, reviewing, and producing documents;
- Maintaining case-related files;
- Preparing summary documents, including case chronologies and factual summaries;
- Assisting with corporate recordkeeping, including signature-gathering on corporate contracts and saving fully executed corporate contracts in applicable files;
- Populating basic form documents for attorney review (e.g., non-disclosure agreements and promissory notes); and
- Assisting attorneys and compliance personnel with administrative matters
- BS/BA Degree
- Strong computer skills, including experience with MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Paralegal or similar experience is a plus, but not required
- Proficiency with Westlaw and Pacer is a plus, but not required
