Position Summary:
The Assembly and Fabrication Specialist is responsible for assembling products or components in a manufacturing or production environment. While welding skills are preferred, this position will primarily focus on general assembly tasks. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, manual dexterity, welding skills and the ability to work efficiently in a team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble parts or components according to work instructions, blueprints, or schematics.
- Operate tools, equipment, or machinery as needed for assembly tasks.
- Inspect and test completed products to ensure they meet quality standards.
- Identify and report defects, malfunctions, or discrepancies to supervisors.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with safety regulations.
- Follow company policies, safety guidelines, and production schedules.
- Assist with inventory management by tracking materials used during assembly.
- Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively to meet production goals.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
- Prior experience in manufacturing, assembly, or related fields preferred.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, or automated equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow detailed instructions.
- Basic math and measurement skills.
- Team player with good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Must be able to safely operate and drive company vehicles as required.
Work Environment:
- Fast-paced manufacturing or production environment.
- May involve exposure to loud noises, moving machinery, or varying temperatures.
- Personal protective equipment (PPE) may be required, such as safety glasses, gloves, or steel-toed boots.
Physical ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50lbs, and perform repetitive motions.
