Description : Summary / Objective
IT Technicians operate and maintain computer systems and networks to ensure that the end-users get the most effective IT functionality.
Essential Functions

- Serving as the first point of contact for IT support within the organization.
- Installing, configuring, and maintaining software and hardware components of computer and network systems.
- Diagnosing and troubleshooting software and hardware issues.
- Repairing and replacing damaged computer and network components.
- Ensuring the security of client and server computers by installing and upgrading antivirus and firewall software
- Supporting people whenever they encounter challenges with computers and network devices.
- Maintaining and updating technical documentation, which includes IT asset inventory and IT asset disposal, on a regular basis.
- Testing new hardware and software before full-scale installation.
- Onboarding and offboarding end-users.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing / office environment. Must be able to operate a computer / keyboard, ability to use phone, and sit for extended periods of time. Communicate using speech, hearing, written, and vision skills. May also work occasionally on the production floor requiring the use of safety equipment to include, but not limited to- safety glasses, hearing protection, and steel toed work boots or shoes.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a part-time position. The standard working hours for this position are set at 24 hours per week with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break each day. General business hours are 6 : 30 am- 5 : 00 pm. this position follows a specific work schedule of Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 8 : 00 am- 4 : 30 pm. Occasional evening, weekend, and over time work may be required to meet business demands.
Compensation
Our current hiring pay range for this position is $20.00 to $27.00 per hour. This hiring pay range is based on several factors which vary based on position. These include labor markets and, in some instances, may include education, work experience, knowledge, skills and certifications.
In addition to this base pay, Rockford Ball Screw employees are eligible for a bonus. Depending on your position you may be categorized into different tiers in the quarterly or annual bonus plan. Currently, this position is classified as a 50% payout in the Quarterly Bonus within the Individual Contributor tier.
