Rockhurst University, College of Nursing and Health Sciences is seeking experienced and motivated applicants for our MSN Program Director position. The MSN Program Director is a member of the faculty (rank commensurate with experience) who holds an administrative appointment related to managing all graduate nursing programs.

Responsibilities include of the MSN Program Director include, but are not limited to: providing classroom instruction, managing day-to-day program operations, overseeing the student advising process, monitoring student learning outcomes, collaborating with college leadership, including enrollment management, marketing and collaborative partners, academic support, and financial aid, assisting staff to generate a prospective student pool, reviewing and maintaining curriculum, leading new program development, partnering with leadership for all accreditation requirements, and assigning faculty to ensure a high-quality learning experience. The Program Director engages in professional associations, businesses, and the local community as necessary to promote the visibility and stature of the program, as well as performing instructional duties as assigned.
Position Requirements:
- A minimum of two years of successful performance in a full-time university-level teaching role, including online education, and prior management experience in higher education or another organization within the program director's discipline.
- A terminal degree from a regionally accredited university is required.
- Must hold an active state-required nursing license and associated certification in the specialty.
- Ability to read, understand, interpret, and implement accreditation criteria and state agency regulations.
- Ability to resolve inquiries and complaints from employees, students, regulatory agencies, or members of the academic or business community.
- Ability to effectively present information to faculty, academic leaders, university leaders, and public groups.
- Experience with computerized administrative systems. Proficient with the use of standard office applications on personal computers.
- Effective project management skills; detail and deadline-oriented.
