What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manager on Duty position at Rocking Horse Ranch Resort?
The Rocking Horse Ranch Resort is an award winning, all-inclusive family resort located in Highland, NY. We are seeking a driven, service oriented, and detailed Manager on Duty (PM shifts only)! You will be the point of contact for employees, guests, and vendors during the afternoon/evening shift (4pm-12am), reporting directly to the General Manager. Experience in Food and Beverage a plus.
Responsibilities
Lead/assist department heads in managing the property in the evening until close; ensure all SOPs are properly implemented
Maintain perfect cleanliness of lobby, public areas, and facilities
Direct and support the Housekeeping team with requests
Handle all Guest Interactions; escalate to the General Manager as needed
Assist in preparing areas and departments for the next day
Inspect all shutdown areas and procedures for company policy and conformance
Communicate with the front desk on guest arrivals, special services, VIPs and other misc. needs
Motivates and maintains good staff relations, upholding and conforming to the employee handbook
Ensure proper documentation on all injuries and administered First Aid
Support the front desk team with incoming reservation calls and resort related questions
Complete end of night reporting and closure checklists and forms
Certified in CPR (training is provided)
Prior Hotel Management experience
Recreational and Pool Knowledge preferred
Strong organizational, communication, written and interpersonal skills
Impeccable attention to detail
Strong work ethic, adept at multitasking, and a true team player
