- Essential Job Functions:
· Ability to resolve issues among all staff levels and document when necessary.
· Address customer inquiries and concerns promptly and effectively.
· Collaborate with department managers and buyers to maintain optimal staff and stock levels on the sales floor.
· Demonstrate leadership and professionalism, ensuring staff follows codes of conduct.
· Enforce disciplinary actions with department managers as per policies.
· Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations on the sales floor.
· Ensure exceptional customer service by setting and maintaining high standards for the sales team.
· Ensure that product displays and layouts adhere to company standards.
· Familiarity with store policies and products and proactive customer service.
· Foster a positive and collaborative work environment to maximize team productivity.
· Interview and Hire candidates.
· Offer prompt, friendly customer service.
· Provide ongoing training to the team to enhance product knowledge and customer engagement.
· Stay informed about product features, promotions, and pricing.
· Supervise and lead team, providing guidance, training, and motivation.
Requirements and qualifications:
· Ability to manage multiple demands and remain calm under pressure.
· Ability to open and/or close to reflect the needs of the business. This would include nights, weekends and holidays.
· Ability to perform repetitive physical movements such as reaching, bending, squatting, and twisting with or without reasonable accommodation
· Ability to read financial statements, including a firm grasp of margin and pricing.
· Ability to sit, stand and walk for extended periods of time.
· Ability to work extended shifts as needed.
· Ability to work in a crowded, fast-paced retail environment especially during peak hours
· Ability to work multiple shifts in a row.
· Act or fill in for any department manager as needed.
· Consistently lift and move up to 50 pounds.
· Demonstrated decision making ability, leadership skills and the ability to prioritize and delegate
· Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
· Knowledge of dietary needs, organic, natural, and NON-GMO, including current market trends and sustainability practices.
· Proficiency in data entry software including Microsoft Office and ECRS.
· Proficiency with email.
· Proficient in using point-of-sale systems and inventory management software.
· Proficient mathematical skills for assessing financial performance, profitability and managing inventory.
· Regular, predictable attendance.
· Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to educate customers and staff.
