Material Handler/Custodian

Job Summary

The Custodian/Material Handler will play a vital role in maintaining a safe and efficient work environment at Rockline Industries & Iatric Manufacturing. This dual-role position is responsible for keeping the manufacturing plant area clear of debris and performing a variety of tasks related to material handling and facilities maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

• General Housekeeping: Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including sweeping and mopping floors, collecting and emptying trash cans, and baling cardboard and plastic for recycling.
• Material Handling: Safely and efficiently operate manual pallet jacks and other material handling equipment to move materials and products throughout the facility.
• Cleanliness and Sanitation: Clean outside grounds and parking lot, vacuum production offices, mop QC offices, and maintain cGMP supplies such as hairnets, ear plugs, and beard nets.
• Cafeteria Maintenance: Clean the cafeteria daily, including sweeping, mopping, cleaning counters, cabinets, microwaves, and refrigerator.
• Supply Management: Ensure restrooms are stocked with paper towels, soap, and toilet paper, and supply raw materials such as boxes and bags to workstations on a timely basis.
• Communication: Communicate with the lead person regarding specific job requirements and provide assistance in setting up re-work areas as needed.
• Line Conveyors: Ensure line conveyors are set up to the proper length to accommodate finished product and assist with moving of tape machines, worktables, etc.
• Pallet Wrapping: Stretch wrap completed pallets and apply pallet completion labels.
• Other Duties: Assist in other areas as required and perform other duties as assigned.
