What are the responsibilities and job description for the Planner-Scheduler II OR Senior Planner-Scheduler position at Rockline Industries/Iatric?

In this role, you are a direct link to meeting our customers needs by analyzing demand, managing inventory of raw materials and planning, creating, and monitoring production schedules that make the most efficient use of these resources. Flexibility and adaptability to operational needs and changes will be key in this role. In addition, the ability to seek clarity on customer needs, timelines, and expectations will be essential.
What you will get to do in the role:
- Schedules according to master schedule to meet the demand requirements, deliverable in weekly to the
plant scheduler. - Maintains supply of raw materials to support the master schedule.
- Manages raw material inventory at optimal levels to both support the business and take advantage of
strategic opportunities. - Provides raw material suppliers with forecast, purchase orders and releases.
- Analyzes demand, evaluates options, and develops appropriate plans that are the most efficient for the
work centers. - Collaborates on production plans and determines most efficient routings.
- Provides feedback regarding supplier evaluations, provides assistance in setting up new items and
determining EOQ’s (best levels of inventory). - Work with suppliers and Sourcing to modify EOQ’s, order frequency, lead-times, etc., to optimize
inventory dollars. - Prioritizes inbound orders and verifies purchase orders.
- Determines allocation of materials or capacity when all demand cannot be met.
- Solves complex planning and scheduling problems. Actively seeks opportunities for improvements in
process and scheduling. - May have planning/scheduling responsibilities for multiple production sites.
Requirements: We are hiring for either a Planner/Scheduler I or a Planner/ Scheduler II. Please see the requirements for both positions below.
Planner/ Scheduler II
- Bachelor’s Degree in supply chain or business management plus 2 years of planning/scheduling or forecasting experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required. If Bachelor’s degree in supply chain is not obtained, Supply Chain certification is required within 2 years of role assignment.
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and Enterprise Resource Planning software required.
- Demonstrated competencies in:

- Work Organization -Ability to approach work in an orderly manner prioritizing tasks & managing time effectively.

- Adaptability - Ability to adapt to changing situations & restructure tasks & priorities as changes occur within the business & organization.
- Customer Service/Focus - Ability to recognize, understand, meet &/or exceed customer needs & expectations.
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and Enterprise Resource Planning software required.
Senior Planner/ Scheduler
- Bachelor’s Degree in supply chain or business management plus 5 years of planning/scheduling, forecasting or sourcing experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Supply Chain certification required within 2 years of role assignment
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and Enterprise Resource Planning software required.
- Demonstrated competencies in:
