What are the responsibilities and job description for the DC Material Handler position at Rockline Industries Inc?
Position Summary: The Material Handler reports to the Distribution Manager and is responsible for handling all finished goods within the Distribution Warehouses in Fort Smith, Arkansas.
Essential Functions:
- Drives Forklift
- Assist in receipt and storage of incoming and outgoing materials.
- Read and understand Bill of Ladings and ST/OT paperwork.
- Must be proficient with Scan gun and JDE System.
- Must be able to maintain an outstanding attendance record.
- Inventory / Transaction Accuracy is required.
- Assist with cycle counts.
- Inspect trucks for all loads entering.
- Responsible for wrapping and movement of finished goods.
- Responsible for dumping trash and keeping warehouse space clean.
Required Skills:
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Good math and communication skills
- Motivated and a self-starter
- Work with speed and accuracy with little supervision
- Must be able to follow instructions well
- Must be well organized.
- Must be able to work a 12 shift
- Must be able to pass FCAP to lift 50# and push/pull 75#
