Students learn 21st century skills in order to fully participate in a diverse and ever-changing world.The Rockport Public Schools is seeking a highly skilled, collaborative Special Education Teacher that will provide individualized instruction and support to student(s) with disabilities(Autism specifically) in both inclusive and specialized settings. The teacher will develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), collaborate with general education teachers, BCBA and service providers and ensure that each student's learning needs are met in alignment with Massachusetts standards.The successful candidate will: Develop and implement IEPs for students with special needs.Adapt and modify the curriculum to meet the diverse needs of student(s).Provide direct instruction in a variety of academic areas based on student needs.Collaborate with general education teachers to support inclusion in the general classroom.Assess student progress regularly and adjust instruction as needed.Communicate with parents, administrators, and support staff about student progress.Foster a positive learning environment that promotes student engagement and success.
