Key Responsibilities
- Program Development and Management:
- Develop, implement, and manage residential programming that aligns with organizational goals and best practices in child and adolescent care.
- Establish and oversee the implementation of the Person-Centered Plan (PCP) for each resident, ensuring it reflects their individual needs, strengths, and goals.
- Case Management Oversight:
- Provide case management services, coordinating care and support for residents, including medical, educational, and therapeutic needs.
- Ensure that all case management activities are documented accurately and reflect the progress and changes in residents’ needs.
- Staff Management and Development:
- Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate direct care staff and other program personnel.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development, providing staff with the training necessary to effectively implement the PCP and case management strategies.
- Clinical Coordination:
- Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure high-quality therapeutic interventions and support services are delivered consistently.
- Monitor the implementation of individualized treatment plans and make adjustments based on resident progress and feedback.
- Crisis Management:
- Develop and implement crisis intervention protocols to ensure the safety and well-being of residents.
- Lead the response to emergencies and critical incidents, providing support to staff and residents as needed.
- Family and Community Engagement:
- Build positive relationships with families, involving them in the treatment process and encouraging their participation in program activities.
- Collaborate with community resources and stakeholders to enhance program offerings and support services.
- Data Management and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to resident progress, staff performance, and program outcomes.
- Prepare reports for management and regulatory bodies, analyzing data to inform program improvements.
- Master’s degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or a related field; relevant licensure preferred (e.g., LCSW, LPC).
- Minimum of TWO years of experience in a leadership role within a residential or therapeutic setting for children and adolescents.
- Strong knowledge of child and adolescent development, mental health issues, and best practices in residential care.
- Experience in case management and developing Person-Centered Plans.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with staff, residents, and families.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to engage in physical activities as needed to ensure the safety and well-being of residents.
- Capacity to handle the emotional demands of a leadership role in a therapeutic environment.
