Overnight Unarmed Security Professional

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant unarmed security officer, who is able to pass a drug test that includes THC at anytime prior to and after employment, to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our organization, employees, and visitors. This role requires a proactive approach to security, utilizing amazing customer service skills, deescalation techniques and conflict management skills to prevent loss and ensure safety.

Duties

• Conduct regular foot and mobile patrols of the facility to deter and detect any suspicious behavior or security breaches.
• Implement loss prevention strategies to minimize theft and damage to property.
• Respond promptly to incidents, emergencies, or alarms, ensuring appropriate action is taken.
• Manage conflicts effectively, using de-escalation techniques when necessary.
• Provide first aid and CPR assistance as needed in emergency situations.
• Maintain accurate records of incidents, observations, and actions taken during shifts.
• Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when required for investigations or emergencies.

Skills

• Certification in security management or related field is preferred.
• Certification in use of wrist iron's and OC spray is preferred.
• Strong conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Knowledge of loss prevention strategies and techniques.
• First aid and CPR certification is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with militarized security protocols is a plus.
• Background in law enforcement can enhance effectiveness in this role.
• Excellent observational skills with attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills for effective interaction with staff and the public.
• Proven ability to problem solve and effectively manage conflict
• Use good judgment & make difficult decisions that affect the safety & well-being of others
• Ability to maintain effective communication and composure in a stressful environment
