Rockwoods has been tasked to fill the following position for our client located in Germantown, MD.This Position is hybrid 3 days in office and 2 days remote You must be residing in the US and must be local to the DMV.
Title: Accounting Manager
Location: Hybrid Germantown, MD
Duration: Long Term Contract / Full time
Overview of the Accounting Manager Role:
- Schedule: Position is hybrid: 3 days in office and 2 days remote
- Candidates must be local to the DMV
Job Duties of the Accounting Manager:
- Perform month-end close including bank reconciliations, journal entries, and general ledger account reconciliations
- Monitor and review accounts receivable, payable, and payroll for accuracy
- Assist in preparation of budgets and grant applications to state agencies
- Ensure proper recording of expenses
- Update budget to actual reports
- Prepare all work papers for annual financial audit, ensuring compliance and prepare financial statements
- Prepare and review all work papers for 990 tax filing
- Compile monthly financial reporting and weekly drawdowns to federal agencies
- Develop and update procedures to increase efficiency in organization
Qualifications for the Accounting Manager:
- Bachelors degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or related AND CPA required
- 7 years' accounting experience
- Multiview and/or Concur software a plus, but not required
- Proficiency in Excel preferred (ability to do pivot tables and vlookup).
