Your future team:
Reporting directly to the Director of Operations and as an integral member of the Factory Management Team, the Operational Excellence Coach is primarily responsible for designing and continuously refining our management system—our blueprint for "how we work." This role is about crafting clear, strategic "work plans" that align with the needs of our department managers and drive the ROCKWOOL Operational Excellence (ROPEX) program at the factory.
What you will be doing:
- System Design & Implementation: Develop, implement, and continuously improve a robust management system that defines the operational framework for the factory.
- Strategic Planning: Collaborate with department managers to capture their insights and requirements, translating them into effective work methodologies and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Change Facilitation: Secure buy-in and guide the rollout of designed plans across the factory, ensuring that the “how do we work” strategies are understood, adopted, and executed in the field.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive ongoing enhancements by monitoring the ROPEX maturity level, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, and realizing tangible business results.
- Collaboration: Participate in the ROCKWOOL North American ROPEX community to share best practices and integrate innovative ideas into our operational framework.
What you bring:
- Educational Background & Experience:
- Degree in Engineering with hands-on manufacturing experience is a must.
- 5 years of proven success in Lean manufacturing implementations, driving both results and cultural change.
- Lean Expertise:
- Deep understanding of the Lean toolbox and principles.
- Demonstrated ability in systematic problem solving.
- Change Management:
- Strong change management competencies with a track record of driving challenging transformations.
- Facilitation & Communication:
- Excellent training, facilitation, and coaching skills.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to tailor your style to all levels of the organization.
- Leadership & Analytical Skills:
- While previous leadership experience is preferred, the focus is on your innate managerial skills, pragmatic approach, and tenacity in driving operational excellence.
