Standard Working Hours: Monday - Thursday 9:00 PM - 7:00 AM
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
To perform the job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. - Schedule and perform preventative maintenance (PM’s) on conveyor equipment.
- Schedule and perform PM’s on Fire Suppression System.
- Schedule and perform routine inspection on equipment and refer needed repairs to supervisors.
- Provide level 1 emergency and backup maintenance for sorter and conveyors.
- Perform routine welding on internal equipment and tables as needed.
- Lead maintenance technician with level 2 and level 3 repairs as needed.
- Complete assigned tasks in a timely and efficient manner.
- Obtain estimates for supplies, repair parts, completers order requisitions.
- Order and maintain inventory levels necessary for building, conveyor and equipment repair.
- Repair electrical equipment and control circuits; replace faulty electrical switches; repair refrigeration equipment.
- Respond to on call emergency maintenance requests.
- Perform outside custodial duties such as snow removal.
- Follow safety procedures and policies.
- Complete daily, weekly and monthly on building equipment maintenance checklist, and procedures, and maintain records of scheduled maintenance procedures.
- Identify, document and communicate maintenance needs on all assigned shifts to team leaders and or managers.
- Evaluate and sign-out various equipment prior to.
- Responsible for the cleanliness/organization of office and maintenance shop.
Qualifications
- The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- High School Diploma or GED; or five (5) to seven (7) years related experience or training in maintenance or warehousing; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Two (2) to three (3) years related hands-on machine maintenance experience required in conveyors, electrical, motor controls, mechanical, plumbing, mechanical assemblies and hydraulics troubleshooting and repair.
- Basic level of experience in of Microsoft Office and Excel
- While performing the duties of the job, the associate is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, climb, crawl, stoop, kneel and crouch; use hands to handle or feel, and reach; talk and hear.
