Minister of Children and Families

Rocky Fork Fellowship is an incredible church that has a passion for community. We are looking for a dynamic Minister who will take our Children’s and Family Ministry to the next level. We LOVE the next generation and we are ready to support and invest in a ministry that will partner with parents in raising kids to know and follow Jesus. The right leader will establish an effective infrastructure to build a thriving ministry that powerfully serves the families of Rocky Fork Fellowship.

We desire a leader who will be passionate about kids and will desire to immerse our children into the Biblical stories. We deeply want someone who is able to foster a culture of growth and community, implement age appropriate discipleship systems for children, and build a strong team of volunteers to support the ministry.

The ideal candidate would be a strong recruiter, one who can facilitate a culture of connection between family ministry and the church, and a self-starter excited to build out the next era of children’s ministry. Creativity, collaboration, and adaptability are integral for leading this fast-growing ministry area.

Position Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide vision, strategy, coaching, alignment, and resourcing to Rocky Fork’s Children's Ministry ministries.
  • Plan, lead, and execute weekly weekend programs and services.
  • Recruit, Train, & Lead volunteer teams for weekend programs, including Kids’ Check-in.
  • Provide leadership and serve as a shepherd to the children’s volunteers and ministry leadership teams.
  • Effectively create and communicate a vision for children’s ministry that is aligned with the overall church.
  • Proactively reach out to parents and families. Provide support, care, and resources as needed in order to empower parents to be disciple makers in their homes.
  • Ensure safety and adequate support for all Kids programs; be able to step into any area of Kids Ministry, including welcoming families, checking children in, facilitating large or small groups, coaching, or providing creative support with music, design, or tech.
  • Assist with Rocky Fork’s Youth Group by providing organizational support.

  • Strong communication skills, both vocally and in written form.
  • A team player with a positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills.
  • A minister at heart, willing to invest time and energy into discipling and equipping others.
  • Engaged member of Rocky Fork Fellowship, or willing to become one.
