What are the responsibilities and job description for the Real Estate Department Assistant position at Rocky Mountain Credit Union?
Role: To assist the Real Estate Loan Officer and members with mortgage loan applications; process loan applications and prepare all necessary loan documents. Duties include, but are not limited to: scanning, DocuSign, obtaining all required documents for the file, organizing file, obtaining tax information, and assisting with gathering of loan conditions. Assists with both Home Equity and Secondary Market. This position may act as a liaison between outside funding institutions, appraisers, title companies, realtors and members, and ensures that the loan file is still worked on in the absence of the loan officer. Must have NMLS number in order to be able to answer questions from members. Presents a friendly, professional and personable attitude that communicates to members, staff and visitors that the credit union is a friendly and professional financial institution.
Experience: Two years to five years of similar or related experience.
Education: (1) A two year college degree or (2) Completion of a specialized course of study at a business or trade school or (3) Completion of a specialized and extensive in-house training or apprenticeship program.
Work Environment: The job is scheduled during normal credit union business hours at a branch location. Normal business hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00. Requires the ability to work flexible hours. The job requires limited physical effort. It is basically a desk assignment. The job calls for a high degree of mental concentration to interpret and act upon a wide range of situations. Job requires extensive member contact on a continual basis and the ability to oversee a fast-paced area. Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Work creates normal fatigue daily. Work creates moderate stress during certain periods during daily routine.
