Job Summary:
Rocky Mountain Custom Landscapes (RMCL) is an award-winning landscape design, construction, and maintenance firm with locations in Denver, Vail, and Aspen, Colorado. We are currently accepting applications for a Field Supervisor at our Vail location. RMCL is committed to finding team members that fit our Mission, Vision and Core Values. To be considered, applicant should be an experienced gardener that has worked for a professional landscape company, with supervisor experience and a strong understanding of green industry trends and practices
Knowledge of landscape gardening/maintenance practices is required. The ability to communicate in Spanish and English is extremely helpful but not required.
This position is directly responsible for assisting the manager with supervising and training crews, implementing SOP’s, keeping employees on track and creating a fun and safe work environment. Will train the right applicant.
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- The primary point of contact for crews
- Active & complete communication with manager, clients, and co-workers
- Strong understanding of time management and the ability to enforce
- Maintain a daily calendar showing all appointments and activities. Can be done in your email.
- In the winter months, fully participate and support the snow program as needed:
- Including working in operations
- Managing a territory
- Assisting with snow watch, etc.
- Assist with holiday decorating as needed
- Help with scheduling/calendar needs monthly, weekly, and standard
- SOP book
- Assisting with LMN
- Review timesheet
- Receipt Management
- Assist crews with RAMP Credit Card Tracking/ learn how to split a transaction
- Assist crews with LMN Training
- Assist crews with cell phone needs
- Assist in morning roll outs
- Daily oversight/training of field crews
- Train/follow up with crews to submit truck/equipment emails
- Review of crew time sheets to become aware of training needs for employees
- Use/training of pesticides/equipment for the health of plants/turf
- Timely response to customer needs
- Ensure client satisfaction through routine and detailed site inspections
- Follow up with customers after visits to ensure quality and ensuring needs are being met
- Material sourcing/ordering
- Ensure sure all employees are wearing RMCL designated uniforms
- Implement reward program
- Assist as needed in projects & checking crews work
- Oversee cleaning of box trucks through the season (sanitizing 3x a year)
- Annual and perennial layout as needed
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license and clean record
- Able to pass a background check
- Ability to effectively supervise foreman and crews - Able to meet all physical demands of the position - Ability to work in a faced paced environment - Strong communication skills both written and verbal - Great organizational and time-management skills - Solve practical problems and unexpected changes
- Have a high attention to detail

- A minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience
