Rocky Mountain Powertrain (RMPT) is an independent Heavy Equipment Repair facility specializing in off-highway equipment repair and component overhauls, including work in the construction, rental, mining, rail, agriculture, and power generation industries. RMPT is looking for an experienced Transmission Technician. You'll do in-shop work performing preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repair work on transmissions for a customer base spread throughout Colorado’s Front Range. You’ll find yourself working on construction, rental, power takeoff, and oil and gas units, among others.
5x8 hour shifts and 4x10 hour shifts available!
The Transmission Technician will:
- Perform scheduled and preventative maintenance on transmissions.
- Perform diagnostic, repair, and overhaul procedures on transmissions.
The Transmission Technician needs:
- Minimum 2 years of experience working on transmissions.
- Computer-literacy.
- Self-directed attitude.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills. Commitment to excellent customer service.
- To supply your own hand tools.
What Helps:
- Relevant technical school or certification experience a plus.
- Work as a heavy-duty mechanic a plus.
- Off-highway transmission repair experience a plus.
