SALARY:
$21.85 - $25.00 per hour. The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to skill, knowledge, experience, education, and credentials.

Primary Purpose
Provide coordination, administrative assistance, and support to the Faculty and Administration of Primary Care Medicine at the Southern Utah campus.
Essential Job Functions
- General Administrative work.
- Answer phones, route calls and schedule appointments.
- Assist in arranging travel and lodging when needed.
- Assist Faculty with posting lectures and lab content.
- Primary Care Medicine:
- Create year 1 and year 2 course shells each semester adding new and updated content, including lab information, syllabus, quizzes, assessments and homework assignments.
- Restructure online course design according to needs and request of students.
- Maintain video links to all year 1 and year 2 MyVista shells.
- Manage year 1 medical equipment disbursement to students.
- Assist Faculty and Adjuncts with troubleshooting technical issues.
- Coordinate exams/quizzes with faculty facilitators.
- Coordinate exam/quiz details with Course Coordinator and Testing Center.
- Maintain calendars for Faculty in the department, including scheduling meetings with students.
- Manage inventory spreadsheet and all inventory for the department.
- Projecting supply needs, and coordinating ordering of lab supplies with office of SIMS.
- Order all office supplies for the department and file expense reports as needed.
- Coordinate staffing, group formation, attendance, set up, and cleanup of PCM labs, SP’s, competencies, or other activities with Course Director and Faculty, office of SIMS, and/or other parties as required.
- Communicate effectively with faculty and adjunct faculty regarding due dates, lab prep, and required trainings.
- Notify keeper of Master Grid of any change(s) in the lecture titles.
- Notify D.P.C.E. (Director of Preclinical Education) of any change(s) for class calendar or unexcused absences in a required PCM event.
- Coordinate schedules for recruiting and hiring department faculty and staff.
- Revise and maintain each assigned Course Syllabus in accordance with any change(s).
- Assist guest lecturers with posting lectures.
- Schedule, attend, and take minutes for assigned meetings.
- Assist Faculty and Administration in Special projects and mailings.
- Work cooperatively with others and accept direction from all members of each Department.
- Provide cross coverage for other Administrative Assistant(s) as needed.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of protected data.
- Coordinate testing committees and exam question review.
- Coordinate with SIMS in transferring grades for SP’s into LMS.
- Participate in committees as asked and appropriate.
- Manage Multipurpose and Clinical Skills lab room reservation for SU campus.
- Other duties as assigned by the Vice Chair or Faculty.

- Assist administration, faculty, and staff with special projects as needed.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Outstanding organizational and communication skills.
- Demonstrate intermediate skill level or higher data entry knowledge and computer skills including Windows, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Type 60 wpm.
- Demonstrate high levels of professionalism, ethics, and ability to maintain confidentiality concerning sensitive and personal information.
- Ability to multi-task and problem solve innovatively.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment.
- Demonstrate effective time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution.
- Two (2) - three (3) years of previous medical/healthcare clerical experience including secretarial/clerical position required or equivalent training.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional background in academic environment.
