Agricultural Research and Development Internship:
Rodale Institute is offering an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about sustainable agriculture to join our team as Agricultural Research and Development Interns. In this role, you will gain hands-on experience in organic farming practices, assisting in the maintenance of our orchards and berry fields, and contributing to the establishment of new research plots.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the daily operations of our organic farm research program
- Maintain and care for our orchards and berry fields
- Conduct ongoing plant-care activities, including pruning, watering, and mulching
- Assist in the preparation and application of organic fertilizers
- Participate in fieldwork, including planting, harvesting, mowing, and weed-eating
- Assist with U-Pick activities as needed
- Maintain records of Organic and GAP practices
- Collaborate with other departments to achieve shared goals
