Description
Rodefer Moss is currently seeking a Senior Client Accounting Services Associate to join our team! This role serves as a bridge between the Client Accounting Services Associate and Manager positions, providing leadership, technical expertise, and client support.
As a Senior Client Accounting Services Associate, your responsibilities will include:
- Recording transactions in ledgers, preparing trial balances, and generating financial statements using accounting software such as QuickBooks and QuickBooks Online.
- Reviewing and reconciling accounts, including bank reconciliations and control accounts.
- Assisting with preparing and reviewing payroll, payroll tax filings, sales tax returns, and other compliance reports.
- Performing schedule computations of accruals, property and equipment depreciation, and other key accounting calculations.
- Collaborating with clients to understand their financial needs and providing customized accounting solutions.
- Assisting in month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial records.
- Supervising and mentoring Client Accounting Services Associates, providing training and support as needed.
- Reviewing work completed by Associates and providing feedback to enhance quality and efficiency.
- Communicating with clients and internal teams to resolve issues, provide proactive advice, and ensure excellent client service.
- Assisting in developing and improving processes for increased efficiency within the Client Accounting Services team.
Requirements
- 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a client-facing or outsourced accounting role.
- Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting, financial statement preparation, and reconciliation processes.
- Experience with QuickBooks and QuickBooks Online is highly preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to supervise and mentor junior team members.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software applications.
- Prior experience in a public accounting firm or outsourced accounting environment is a plus.
