Job Summary: The Maintenance Person is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of all facilities and equipment within a hospitality establishment. This role is crucial in providing a safe and comfortable environment for guests and staff by performing repairs and preventative maintenance tasks effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine property inspections to identify maintenance needs, including guest rooms, public areas, and facilities.
- Perform general repairs and maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry work.
- Address guest maintenance requests promptly and efficiently, ensuring minimal disruption to their experience.
- Maintain and troubleshoot building systems, equipment, and appliances.
- Keep maintenance logs and records of repairs or replacements for tracking purposes.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and building codes.
- Manage inventory and order supplies for maintenance tasks as needed.
- Collaborate with other staff members to support overall hotel operations and guest satisfaction.
Qualification Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in maintenance or a related field is a plus.
- Previous experience in maintenance work in the hospitality industry.
- Basic knowledge and experience in plumbing, electrical systems, and HVAC operations.
- Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
