What are the responsibilities and job description for the ASSISTANT PROJECT MANAGER position at RODGERS BUILDERS INC?
The Assistant Project Manager’s responsibilities may include the following:
- Ability to train Office Engineer and Project Engineer roles
- Understand and manage document control
- Basic understanding of Building Code requirements
- In-depth understanding of change management process
- Review subcontract change orders
- Prepare draft of owner Change Order Requests
- Maintain change order log
- Knowledge of project budgeting
- Participate in building of the budget
- Developing knowledge of Cost vs. Budget
- Introduction and participation in monthly budget revisions and monthly financial reporting
- Prepare Pay Applications
- Review & approve subcontract SOV
- Review monthly subcontract invoices
- Prepare Owner Payment Application draft
- Draft subcontracts and purchase orders
- Participate in VDC/BIM coordination process
- Assist superintendent with preparing and presenting 4 week look ahead schedule
- Participate in subcontractor progress meetings.
- Maintain meeting minutes of project does not have OE/PE.
- Understand Owner Contract language
- Prepare monthly report to Owner, if applicable
- Basic estimating skills
- Ability to participate in preconstruction and provide feedback on constructability
- Review sub change orders and verify quantities and manpower are appropriate
- Ability to cost code and approve invoices
- Computer & technical skills
