Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Field Service Technician to join our team in the water treatment and gate manufacturing industry. This role involves up to 50% travel to customer sites for installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of water treatment systems and industrial gates. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with project management, engineering, and manufacturing/production teams to ensure seamless service delivery and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
· Install, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair water treatment systems and gate manufacturing products at client locations.
· Conduct system testing, calibration, and adjustments to ensure optimal performance.
· Work closely with engineering teams to provide feedback on equipment performance and suggest solutions
· Collaborate with project management teams to ensure project timelines and customer expectations are met.
· Coordinate with manufacturing/production teams to understand product specifications and assist in quality assurance.
· Provide training and technical support to customers on proper equipment usage and maintenance.
· Document service visits, work performed, and any necessary follow-ups in service reports.
· Ensure compliance with safety protocols and company policies while working on-site.
· Maintain a high level of customer service and professionalism during all interactions.
· Manage service tools, equipment, and vehicle inventory efficiently.
Qualifications:
· High school Diploma or GED Equivalent required Associate’s or technical certification a plus.
· Valid driver’s license (required) with a clean driving record.
· 3 years of experience in field service, maintenance, or technical support, preferably in water treatment or industrial gate manufacturing.
· Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
· Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints.
· Experience with mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
· Ability to work independently and manage travel schedules efficiently.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for cross-team collaboration.
· Physical ability to lift heavy equipment and work in various environmental conditions.
Working Conditions:
· This role requires 50% travel, including overnight stays, to customer locations.
· Work is conducted in industrial, manufacturing, and outdoor settings, requiring adherence to strict safety guidelines.
· When not traveling, the technician will collaborate with internal teams at the company’s manufacturing facility.
